Nivel de información y su relación con el nivel de ansiedad en la fase pre quirúrgica en pacientes adultos hospitalizados en las salas de cirugía general y especializada del Centro Médico Naval “Cirujano Mayor Santiago Távara“ Bellavista Callao 2013

Abstract

El presente estudio de investigación de tipo correlacional, transversal y prospectivo, tuvo el objetivo de relacionar el nivel de información y el nivel de ansiedad en la fase pre quirúrgica en los pacientes adultos hospitalizados en las salas de cirugía general y especializada del Centro Médico Naval "Cirujano Mayor Santiago Távara", Bellavista, Callao, 2013. Material y Métodos: La muestra estuvo constituida por 78 pacientes adultos hospitalizados en las salas de cirugía general y especializada desde diciembre 2013 a enero 2014. El nivel de información fue evaluado con el Cuestionario de Información Pre quirúrgica y la ansiedad con el Test lOARE (Inventario de Ansiedad Rasgo Estado), ambos aplicados durante el preoperatorio, 24 horas antes de la cirugía. Los resultados fueron que el 32.1% de los pacientes que presentaron un nivel alto de ansiedad, en su m~woría de ellos tuvieron un nivel bajo de información, mientras que el 52.6% de los pacientes que presentaron un nivel medio de ansiedad, también tuvieron un nivel medio de información, asimismo, el 78.6% de los pacientes que tuvieron un nivel alto de información pre quirúrgica presentaron en su mayoría un nivel bajo de ansiedad, por el contrario el 67.7% de pacientes que tuvieron un nivel bajo de información pre quirúrgica, presentaron en su mayoría un nivel alto de ansiedad. Conclusiones: Se sostiene que existe relación significativa e inversamente proporcional entre el nivel de información y el nivel de ansiedad en la fase pre quirúrgica en los pacientes adultos hospitalizados en las salas de cirugía general y especializada del Centro Médico Naval "Cirujano Mayor Santiago Távara" Bellavista Callao 2013, lo cual demuestra que la actividad de informar oportunamente al paciente es muy importante para contrarrestar el nivel de ansiedad en la fase pre quirúrgica.

The present study of investigation of type correlaciona!, transversa and market, had the aim to determine the relation between the level of information and the level of anxiety in the phase pre surgical in the adult patients hospitalizad in the rooms of general and specialized surgery of the Medica! Naval Center "Major Surgeon Santiago Távara", Bellavista Callao, 2013. Material and Methods: The sample was constituted by 78 adult patients hospitalizad in the rooms of general and specialized surgery from December, 2013 to January, 2014. The level of information was evaluated by the Questionnaire of lnformation surgical Pre and the anxiety by the Test lOARE (lnventory of Anxiety 1 Tear State), both applied during the operativa pre, 24 hours before the surgery. The results were that 32.1 % of the patients who presentad a high level of anxiety, in the main of them received a low level of information, whereas 52.6 % of the patients who presentad an average level of anxiety, also received an average level of information, likewise, 78.6 % of the patients who received a high level of information pre surgical presentad in the main a low level of anxiety, on the contrary 67.7 % of patients who received a low level of information pre surgical, presentad in the main a high level of anxiety. Conclusions: is held that there exists significant and inversely proportional relation between the level of information and the level of anxiety in the phase pre surgical in the adult patients hospitalizad in the rooms of general and specialized surgery of the Medica! Naval Center "Major Surgeon Santiago T ávara" Bellavista Callao 2013, which demonstrates that the activity to inform opportunely the patient is very important to offset the level of anxiety in the phase pre surgical.
