dc.description.abstractThis is a Master thesis, entitled: EVALUATION ANO MODIFICATION OF LIFESTYLE OF HYPERTENSIVE PATIENTS 2007- 2008 (Case: Hypertension Club of The Hospital Nacional Daniel A Carrión, Callao). Objectives: To study the scientific theories related to arterial hypertension, to determine the predominan! factor which causes hypertension, evaluate and modify the lite style of the members of the Hypertension Club of HNDAC. The basic type of study is longitudinal, the sample number is 38 patients and age range from 55 to more than 80 years. This investigation used the methods as experimental, historical, comparative, analogy, inductive and deductive, following a rigorous logic. Every patient underwent interviews, surveys and monitoring of blood pressure. After the patient education adopted new lifestyles, they know the importance of taking your pills 69.2%, concern for his health 66%, obtained knowledge to prevent the risk of high cholesterol 71%, cardiovascular risk 64%. Their eating habits (food) consumed cereals, 82% lentils, quinoa and soy, followed by purple corn 76.9%, 94% vegetable corn, lettuce, 92.3%, tomato 84.6%, parsley, 84% and 82% papaya fruit, tangerine and lemon 79%, including in your routine physical activity, walking, dancing, aerobics; stopped consuming soda water 56.4%. Blood pressures (BP) were controlled varying between 140/90 and 130/80 mmHg. Psychological relaxation techniques resulted in a 61.5% with emotional support and therapy group 58.9% Completed the field work and analyzed data collected based on the theories of hypertension, among others, the following conclusions were obtained Lifestyles of hypertensive patients of the Hypertension Club of the Hospital Nacional Daniel A Carrión, befare its treatment contribute to more complications of their disease. Educational activities that are in the arterial hypertension club, develop greater self awareness and to improve their quality of lite.en_US
